Balloons for Brielle
As I wrote in our story, Teddy & I went to Wells, Maine to spread the ashes of Brielle. My Mom had mentioned that she wanted to release a balloon for her when we spread the ashes. I thought it was such a good idea and told some friends and family if they wanted to do the same to take pictures and to release them at 7:00, Saturday August 23rd. These are all the photos of everyone that participated in the balloon release. It was so great to look at all of them and to see all the support we have. It really was a beautiful way to send her into heaven. Thank You so much to everyone that sent up a Balloon for her. You mean the world to us!
Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do crumbles to the ground though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind

The day of spreading the ashes we decided to go to breakfast and then go for a walk to see if we could find a perfect place for later. The entire day we had bad luck with everything. We waited forever for breakfast, we kept missing Trolly's and had a hard time getting to everywhere we wanted to go. We walked for probably 3 hours that day from Wells to Ogunquit and back to Wells because we were so sick of waiting around. Our luck started to turn around as soon as we got to dinner. We got right in without trouble, ate a delicious meal and then headed to the beach. As soon as we started driving, "Dust in the wind", came on the radio. We looked at eachother in shock. How is this song the one that is playing while we were on our way to spread the ashes. It was so unbelievably perfect and sad. We found parking right away and found a perfect spot. It was cloudy and chillly all morning and cleared up later in the day. It seemed like everything unfolded for us the way it should be. Also we kept seeing the color yellow all day and the whole next day. My shirt, other peoples shirts, random flowers, flowers my Mom left on our counter when she checked on our cat. I usually laugh at my husband because he always talks about how he sees signs all the time. But when some kind of yellow splatted on his forehead randomly while we were walking, I started to get a little creeped out. Here is a small glimpse of how we said goodbye.
